Starting from 8 January 2021, all passengers travelling to Korea should obtain a negative PCR test result issued within 72 hours prior to departure. Those without a valid test result will be denied boarding.

All visitors to Korea are subject to a 14-day mandatory quarantine.  All arriving passengers are required to download and respond to daily questions via a Self-Diagnosis Mobile App for 14 days. Passengers who are unable to download the mobile app must provide a valid phone number and address in Korea to facilitate daily health monitoring by local government officials.

Health condition report and facility quarantine agreement are required as parts of visa application requirement (except for A-1 and A-2 visa applicants and quarantine exemption holders).

Starting from 1 June 2020, all registered foreigners in Korea (for example, foreign registration card holders) must obtain re-entry permit from the Korean Immigration, when travelling outside Korea temporarily and intending to return to Korea.

From 1 April 2020, all passengers arriving from overseas will be required to undertake either:

- a mandatory 14-day quarantine at designated facilities for stay under 90 days


- a mandatory 14-day self-isolation at their place for Korean citizens, residents(long-term visa holders) and family members of Korean citizens/residents (spouse, children, parents). Official document that states the family relationship required.

Hong Kong Airlines staff will perform document checks at the airport to confirm if passengers are eligible to travel to destinations with restrictions in place. Passengers without checked baggage and holding mobile or self-print boarding passes will be subject to document check before boarding.

Passengers will also be asked to declare their travel history to help us ensure eligibility to travel.
