Hong Kong Airlines supports Government's initiatives for aviation sector

Date: 2020-11-25

Hong Kong Airlines is supportive of the Government’s initiatives for aviation as outlined in the 2020 Policy Address announced today.

“As one of the city’s home carriers, Hong Kong Airlines has been a strong advocate of the development and promotion of Hong Kong International Airport (HKIA) as a global aviation hub. The much-anticipated completion of the Three-Runway System in the coming years will provide us with opportunities to rebuild our network and improve our services as we recover from the pandemic. Likewise, the opening of other aviation-related infrastructures with improved and modern handling capabilities will further reinforce Hong Kong’s position as a leading passenger and cargo transportation hub,” said Mr Hou Wei, Chairman of Hong Kong Airlines.

“Over the last two years, Hong Kong Airlines has expanded its product offerings to include inter-modal services for passengers travelling between Hong Kong and cities in the Greater Bay Area. The new initiatives for self-drive visitors mentioned today will bolster ongoing efforts to provide seamless connections and offer more convenience for travellers shuttling between Hong Kong and the Pearl River Delta region via the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. We look forward to welcoming passengers from the Greater Bay Area on our flights very soon,” added Mr Hou.

Hong Kong Airlines will continue to work closely with key stakeholders to contribute to Hong Kong’s aviation sector and the economic development of the city as a whole.
