Hong Kong Express Airways To Launch Flights To Kathmandu

Hong Kong, 28 November 2007 … Hong Kong Express Airways has today announced the addition of a new service between Hong Kong and Kathmandu - the capital city of Nepal. Scheduled to commence in mid December, the new three times weekly service will be the airline’s fifth new route launched this year.
“The introduction of this service reiterates our commitment to offer passengers the opportunity to discover new and interesting destinations,” said Mr. Ronnie Choi, President of Hong Kong Express Airways. “And with Nepal showing solid growth in air arrivals, especially from China – the core of our network – we are confident that we will see a good reaction from the market.”
Nepal is one of the fastest growing destinations in southern Asia that has seen visitor figures surge in 2007. In anticipation of demand, Hong Kong Express Airways will operate its new Kathmandu service use the new generation Boeing 737-800 aircraft which is capable of accommodating 164 passengers in two classes.
