At 1:30pm on March 31st, Hong Kong Airlines’ sixth Boeing 737 aircraft (registration number B-KBL) landed on the runway at the Hong Kong International Airport. The Chairperson, Mr Ren WeiDong, and the Managing Director, Mr Li Qiang, welcomed the brand-new aircraft at the tarmac.
The Boeing 737-800 aircraft is quipped with advanced technology. It seats 164 passengers comfortably in a 2-cabin configuration; 8 in Business Class and 156 in Economy Class. Hong Kong Airlines currently has six Boeing 737-800 aircraft, all of which are delivered brand new from the Boeing Company in Seattle. The company operates over 20 routes at the moment, including Guilin, Kunming, Haikou, Nanning, Tianjin, Xiamen, Fuzhou, Changsha and Qingdao. In addition, a 4-weekly flight service to Jinan will begin on the 4th of April, and a 6-weekly flight service to Hanoi, Vietnam will begin 3 weeks later on April 25th.
Hong Kong Airlines is expanding quickly, continuously adding new aircraft and routes to its portfolio: six Boeing 737 aircraft and over 20 domestic and international routes in the past six months. The level of expansion is unparalleled.
