Cargo Department

In addition to increased passenger capacity, Hong Kong Airlines has established her own cargo department in September 2006. Being led by the experienced cargo professionals, the freight service is on its full throttle in development. At the initial stage, freight service will be available on the existing routes by filling up the belly cargo capacity. Her freight network and ability will be gradually established on all sales station on all destinations.

As the prosperity of China is catching up with the world, and her continuous effort in building a closer economic relationship with neighboring countries, Hong Kong Airlines has planned to introduce her first cargo plane in mid-2007. Operation will be available for Hong Kong to China, SMEs, India, ASEAN and other Asian countries. Hong Kong Airlines will be acting as the trans-shipment hub and distribution center.

In the foreseeable future, jumbo cargo jets will be brought in to operate long-range freight routes to Europe and America. Freight service is being developed one step at a time and Hong Kong as the center of the network, to operate the Pearl River Delta region and looking at the globe with macroeconomic vision. Hong Kong Airlines is building a team of professionals to represent Hong Kong and the spirit of Greater China.
